We develop and maintain a wildlife area on an unused, steep part of the Natal Road allotment site. The workgroup meets on the 1st Saturday of every month. Activities have included digging a large pond, building steps, clearing brambles, planting wildflowers & trees and keeping paths clear. We have created a range of habitats and have monitored increasing wildlife bio-diversity since 2015. We welcome new volunteers to assist in maintaining the site and monitoring wildlife, although the site may not be accessible to people with mobility challenges, due to the steep slope.
